The right wingnuts are on the warpath now about Christmas. Last time I checked, contrary to the wailings of the wingnuts, Christmas is not under attacked.
Those of us who live in areas where there is more than one religion, in order include those whose religion we do not know, will say, "Happy Holidays!".
Suppose I see my neighbor who I know is Christian or Protestant or Catholic. I'll say "Merry Christmas." But suppose I am leaving a store after making a purchase. I have no way of knowing what religion the clerk is, so I'll say "happy holidays." What's the big deal with that? How does Christmas lose out?
God, they're so narrow!!!
